2011 Ford Shelby GT500 Overview
As the primary improvement, this new performance offers all-new aluminum-block 5.4-liter supercharged V-8 engine, which is lighter than its predecessor. Besides, the 2011 Shelby GT500 also offers an optional package for both models. Powered by the new engine package with Plasma Transferred Wire Arc (PTWA) liner coating which is able to increased power and fuel economy, the 2011 Shelby GT500 is claimed to be the first modern Shelby without the gas guzzler tax. To support the engine, 2011 Shelby GT500 featured with new exhaust sized 2.75-inch. Several upgrades are also carried out for the exterior, including standard HID (high-intensity discharge) headlamps, 19-inch aluminum wheels with all-new Goodyear Eagle® F1 SuperCar G: 2 tires, and an optional glass roof. And for the convenience in the interior, the car is stuffed with MyKeyTM programmable vehicle key. For the convertible model, the enhanced features include structural rigidity with lateral stiffness, the stiffened V-brace, and etc.
