2008 BMW M3 Overview
The all-new 2008 BMW M3 is powered by a 414-horsepower 4.0-liter V8 engine combined with a 6-speed manual transmission and Variable M Differential Lock. A new 7-speed M Double-Clutch transmission with Drivelogic is offered, specifically designed for a high-speed engine and to shift without interruption of power and traction.
There are eleven electronically-controlled driving programs in M-specific set-up; five shift programs in the automatic mode and six in the manual mode including Launch Control for maximum acceleration from a standstill.
